It was only four years ago that the young Dresden artist discovered drawing with pencil and charcoal. Far from classical art training, his journey as an artist began with a simple visit to a stationery shop. An impulse led him to buy a pencil and a sketchpad – the fascination for faces and their manifold possibilities of expression formed him as a portrait artist. For Ric Uhlmann, every person is unique and diverse. This is what he wants to reflect in his drawings and with his very personal artistic style.
