BEWEGUNGSFORM FARBE

24 February – 23 March 2024Vernissage | 24 February 2024 | 20:00Full Moon GalleryAdmission free! In the works of Yevgeny Feldmann, music and painting merge into a unique unity. As a painter and musician, he goes beyond traditional boundaries and explores the connection between sound and colour. His brushstrokes are like notes on a canvas, every movement a musical gesture. The Ukrainian-born artist (pianist, composer and painter) completed his piano studies at the Moscow State Academy of Music/Gnessins Institute. This was immediately followed by his first engagements at the State University of Theatre Arts and the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. He has been a pianist at the Saxon State Opera (Semperoper) in Dresden since August 1996. He has made numerous guest appearances at the Opéra Garnier, Paris; Gothenburg Opera, Sweden; deSingel Theatre, Antwerp, Belgium; Villa Massimo, Rome; Teatro Massimo, Palermo; Teatra la Fenice, Venice, Italy; Grand Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona, Spain; Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and others. As a painter and graphic artist, he has held several annual solo exhibitions in Dresden, including at the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital in 2012, at the Specialist Court Centre in 2013 and at Deutsche Bank’s Prager Straße branch in 2019. Yevgeny Feldmann has also taken part in a number of group exhibitions, including the “MIT AUGEN HÖREN 2” exhibition at the Semperoper Dresden in 2008. His paintings and graphics have already been acquired by numerous doctors’ surgeries and law firms in Dresden and three of his paintings are now state property. In Yevgeny Feldmann’s work, the movement of colour becomes a living choreography. Every brushstroke dances to the rhythm of his inspiration, and the colours become harmonious melodies. His art not only reflects external movements, but also explores the inner movements of life, captured in vibrant explosions of colour. Yevgeny Feldmann’s works reflect the parallels between sounding tones and colours. Despite obvious similarities, subtle differences are revealed when he combines musical harmony and visual poetry. The works bear witness to a fascinating fusion in which the boundaries of art are cancelled. The exhibition invites you to explore Yevgeny Feldmann’s unique symbiosis of sound and colour, a journey into the harmony of the senses, where the magic of art comes to life as a connection between two creative worlds. More about Yevgeny Feldmann: Interview Laudation: Christian Bauch (first soloist Semperoper Ballett)Christian Bauch has been first soloist of the Semperoper Ballett since 2017. First and foremost, I want to bring joy and confidence into the world. All the pictures invite you to take a relaxing short holiday in your head, freeing your thoughts. Through Deformation into the Present

28 October 2023 – 27 November 2023 Vernissage | 28 October 2023 | 8:00 pm Full Moon Gallery Admission free! In the exhibition “Through Deformation into the Present”, painter Aren Shahnazaryan presents his latest works at Full Moon Gallery from 28 October to 27 November. On display are paintings characterised by energetic brushwork, a bold approach to pictorial composition, and form and colour in an intense visual language. His individual painting process allows the artist to explore different states of the paintings, treading uncharted paths. In his new works, Aren Shahnazaryan intuitively reconstructs and deforms the painterly as well as textual substance of each painting until an originally unsuspected or only roughly hinted motif is expressed. These motifs are closely interwoven with the current noise of existence through the painterly medium. Aren Shahnazaryan studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Yerevan, was head of the graphics workshop at the “Mkhitar Sebastaci” education centre until 2017 and graduated in fine arts from the HfBK Dresden in 2022 with Prof. Ralf Kerbach. He is a representative of the Armenian Foundation for Fine Arts in Germany and a master student at the HfBK Dresden under Prof. Ralf Kerbach. Aren Shahnazaryan does not ascribe a fixed meaning to the visual elements of his works, but tries to create an atmosphere in each piece that reflects his personal experiences and sensations. He is deeply dedicated to the creative process and works intensively on each painting until it reaches a unique and distinctive state.

Integration eines Wolfes

29 September 2023 – 27 October 2023Vernissage | 29 September 2023 | 20:00Admission free! Narek Arzumanyan was born in 1988, in Yerevan, Armenia. He graduated from Yerevan State College of Fine Arts after P. Terlemezyan in 2008 and studied in State Academy of Fine Arts betwen 2009 and 2011. He opened his first exhibition in the Artists’ Union of Armenia, in 2009. Since 2011 he lives in Germany. Narek Arzumanyan’s artworks can be found in private collections and public museums throughout the world. “Integration of a Wolf” shows a series of self-portraits, by Narek Arzumanyan. In an asylum home in Germany, the artist watches many nature documentaries and recognises parallels between himself and lone predators. Even as a child, Arzumanyan loved to be in nature; for him, there was hardly any difference between humans and animals. He often played as a jackal, fox or wolf. These animals accompany him not only into his adulthood, but also into his art. Arzumanyan feels so much connected to the lone wolf in particular that he sees and portrays himself as one. But he cannot remain a wolf forever and slowly transforms into a human being. From 29 September to 27 October 2023, you can view this fascinating journey at the Full Moon Gallery in Dresden. FACES

01 – 28 September 2023 Vernissage | 01 September 2023 | 20:00 Full Moon Gallery invites you to the opening of the portrait exhibition FACES by Ric Uhlmann on 1 September at 8 pm. It was only four years ago that the young Dresden artist discovered drawing with pencil and charcoal. Far from classical art training, his journey as an artist began with a simple visit to a stationery shop. An impulse led him to buy a pencil and a sketchpad – the fascination for faces and their manifold possibilities of expression formed him as a portrait artist. For Ric Uhlmann, every person is unique and diverse. This is what he wants to reflect in his drawings and with his very personal artistic style.

Strukturen

Vernissage of the Exhibition by Uwe Beyer   30 July 2023 – 30 August 2023 Vernissage | 30 July 2023 | 20:00 Full Moon Gallery Admission free!   In his exhibition STRUCTURES from 30 July to 30 August in the Full Moon Gallery, the Dresden painter and graphic artist Uwe Beyer shows graphic compositions that reveal complex structures formed from elementary building blocks – coloured areas and lines enter into relationships with each other. Interactions arise, forms become visible, a structure emerges. For the artist, everything is structure and nowhere does it have a centre or a boundary. For him, structural incompleteness and openness are a basic condition for the emergence of art. Open, unregulated, always in motion, is the creative activity, a game of infinite differentiations, in an endless chain of possibilities. Laudation: Dr Peter Plaßmeyer, Director of the Mathematical-Physical Salon in Dresden Musical accompaniment: Iryna Marchuk (Ukraine) on the violin

die oktopusgeschichte

05 May 2023 – 02 June 2023 Vernissage | 05 May 2023 | 20:00 Finissage with live music & video show (acacia&magnolia) | 02 June 2023 | 20:00 Full Moon Gallery Admission free!   Alabaster Becher’s artwork is not created by thinking or feeling – it is the way he thinks and feels. In this collection of works, he transgresses into the lines of the poem ” der Oktopus” (the octopus) by L. Stüdemann. The words of the poem do not serve merely to convey information. For Alabaster Becher, it is rather the emotions triggered by the rythmics of the letters. The artist seems to understand this kind of artistic expression in depth and works on the fusion of his aesthetics with that of the poem in the picture series “die oktopusgeschichte”.
