Olga Yocheva’s art is a celebration of simplicity, exploring two distinct yet interconnected themes: women and crows. In her first series, Olga portrays women as abstracted, nude figures, deliberately omitting facial features to emphasize their universal nature. These figures are not tied to any one identity but stand as symbols of collective femininity, strength, and resilience, representing the power and beauty inherent in all women.

In contrast, her series on crows delves into the intelligence and complexity of these fascinating birds. Captivated by their ability to remember and pass on knowledge across generations, Olga reflects on themes of memory, continuity, and wisdom. The intricate social networks of crows mirror human connections, making them a poignant symbol of the deeper currents of life.
By placing these two subjects side by side, Skin and Feathers encourages contemplation on the interconnectedness of knowledge, identity, and life’s patterns, offering viewers a unique perspective on strength and remembrance through both human and animal lenses.

Olga Yocheva works across multiple mediums, including painting, graphic design, performance, and video art. She studied Art and Education at Sofia University Kliment Ohridski in Bulgaria and Digital Video Production at SAE Institute in Leipzig, Germany.
Having organized several solo exhibitions and participated in numerous international art projects, Olga has firmly established herself as a noteworthy presence in the contemporary art scene. She currently lives and works in Dresden, Germany.
